Mexico

Our mission is to evangelize and disciple indigenous Mexicans, equipping them to reach their communities in their native languages.

Who: Carlos, Aliza, and their two sons partner with ABWE and many local churches in Culiacan, Mexico, bringing the Word of God and a message of hope to migrant farm workers.

Context: Culiacan is located in the breadbasket of Mexico. Hundreds of thousands come to work here every year, earning money to bring back to their villages where there are very few opportunities. They live near the fields in privately owned farm housing. Over one hundred of these camps exist outside of the city.

The Ministry: God's work in the camps consists of presenting the Good News using audio and visual aids, as well as through preaching and Bible studies. For those who return each season, the team has the privilege of discipling them to grow deeper in their faith and share the gospel.

A strategic ministry: We have the opportunity to share with the indigenous groups that are the least reached and do not have churches in their home towns. It is also strategic in a practical sense because they are gathered in one area where we can easily visit them.

Ways to Pray:

  1. Commit to pray that every ethnic group in Mexico would have the opportunity to hear the gospel.
  2. Pray for saved believers to reach their communities in their own languages.
  3. Pray for our need for missionaries on the field, both national and from the U.S.
