Alex Kocman serves as the Director of Communications and Engagement for ABWE. In this capacity, Alex oversees ABWE’s comprehensive communications efforts, serves as General Editor of Message Magazine and the ABWE Blog, and co-hosts The Missions Podcast, a platform engaging in conversations on theology and global missions. His leadership extends to managing key initiatives that enhance ABWE's visibility and effectively convey the stories of 1,000 missionaries serving among 89 nations.
Alex’s journey in ministry reflects a deep commitment to the intersection of faithful theology and practice. Prior to his current role, he directed Long-Term Mobilization for ABWE, helping connect churches and individuals to missions opportunities.
As an author, Alex has penned Striving for the Faith: A Journey Through Philippians for Life on Mission and co-authored Missions by the Book: How Theology and Practice Walk Together with Chad Vegas, offering insights that bridge doctrine and practical missions work. His published works reflect his commitment to a biblical worldview and his belief in empowering the local church to fulfill the Great Commission.
Alex is also an elder and Director of Communications and Worship at Faith Bible Fellowship Church of York. He and his wife wife, who previously served in ABWE’s President’s Office, have four children.
