Addiction Recovery Ministry - A Biblical Process for True Life-Change
God radically transformed Dave’s life at the age of 34 when he became a new creation in Christ Jesus. His prior life of sin, prison, and addiction passed away, and God gave him a burden for people enslaved in the sin of addiction. Dave is uniquely equipped and called to advise pastors and aid local churches to reach those lost in addiction through a Bible-based recovery ministry.
Ministry emphases:
- Planting Biblical recovery ministries in local churches (planning, recruiting, and training workers, and then successfully launching recovery meetings).
- Biblical addiction counseling.
- Mentoring and discipleship.
- Establishing Biblical recovery houses.
Dave is currently serving in the Des Moines, Iowa, area with Living Waters Fellowship. II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old things passed away; behold new things have come.” (NASB) Romans 12:1-2 “I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.” (NASB)

How You Can Be Involved
Personal financial support enables David to devote his time fully to reaching people enslaved by addiction with the only true answer to any sin problem – Jesus Christ and His Word. Supporting his ministry programs provides funding so David can provide training & assistance to local churches interested in establishing Addiction Recovery Ministries in their own Judea. Funding also goes toward establishing a RECOVERY HOUSE in the Des Moines area for intensive, in-house addiction recovery for 10-12 individuals.
- Give to David’s full-time missionary support, so he can devote fulltime to this work.
- Give to RECOVERY HOUSE fund to establish the first RECOVERY HOUSE.
- PRAY for God to provide wisdom and strength for David as he serves.
- PRAY that God would raise up individuals and couples with a burden to serve in this difficult ministry.
- PRAY that God would burden churches to make Addiction Recovery part of their church ministry.
- PRAY for funding to establish the first RECOVERY HOUSE.
- PRAY for God to transform the hearts of men and women, believers and unbelievers, who are struggling with the sin of addiction.
