Greetings from the Bell Bunch!

We are Nate and Lauren Bell, originally from Memorial Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. As of 2019, our family is blessed to live and serve the Lord in South Africa. We are committed to cultivating faithful disciples and flourishing churches in Cape Town.

We are privileged to serve the flock at Mountain View Baptist Church in Somerset West. As an elder in the church since 2021, I (Nate) lead in preaching and teaching ministries, both inside the local church, but also in the community. I lead the Ministry Training Centre - a free four-year Bible and ministry program, while also teaching Bible in a local public school and leading chapel in two private schools. Lauren helps leads women's and children's ministries, and we co-host several Bible study groups together. Both of us disciple a number of individuals with the prayer of seeing the Lord raise up faithful leaders for the church of South Africa.

In addition to these ministries, we stay busy managing a community coffee shop, organizing social and community events and enjoying time as a family in the most beautiful place in the world. Lord willing, as the church has called another national brother to lead them, they hope to get involved in evangelizing the unreached in their community - including several Muslim populations. It is their prayer to see the church mature to place of reproducing, and assist in the work of church planting. If the Lord wills, they would also like to open a Christian school and seminary and get involved in campus ministry at nearby Stellenbosch University.
