Joy Walker is from Wellsville, Pennsylvania, and has been with ABWE since 2021. She has already completed one year of short-term ministry in George, South Africa, and plans to return to do full-term missions. She has 3 sisters and 1 brother as well as 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Her sending church is Grace Baptist in Lewisberry. She is in the States but has all her support to return to the field March 24th.

Joy is passionate about teaching, discipling, and counseling others in God's Word. She does this by connecting with a church-planting ministry called Inspire George. Through this ministry she teaches children's Sunday school, volunteers at Inspire George youth group, leads a ladies bible study, and pursues one-on-one discipleship opportunities. She also just started volunteering at Options, a crisis pregnancy center run by Youth for Christ.
