Jason and Charity joined ABWE at the beginning of 2020, finally realizing their dream of stepping into the world of full-time missionary service. They have 6 children and took the family to serve for a year in Togo, Africa in Hospital Maintenance, Aviation, MK education, and Evangelism & Discipleship among the beloved Togolese. They are now training to begin their first 4-year term working with ABWE's Open Initiative to reach unengaged people groups throughout the Caribbean Basin.
Jason is a pilot, currently being certified as an aviation mechanic. Their primary service in the Caribbean will be to equip, transport, and work along-side National Churches who have a passion for evangelism to join us in the Open Initiative. This effort specifically focuses on bringing the Good News to Hindu, Muslim, and Buddhist communities who dwell in the Caribbean Basin. The Funks will live and base aviation centrally in St. Croix, strategically giving then access throughout the region.
Before the throne of God there will be a great multitude that no one could number-peoples from every nation, tribe, people, and tongue-worshipping Him together. (see Rev. 7:9) That is what motivates us in what we do! We desire to use the unique opportunity of openly reaching the 1.6 million Hindu's, Buddhists, and Muslim groups, who generally live in closed areas, yet who have recently shown up by the thousands, basically on America's doorstep!
