Brian was born and raised in Southern California and went to church from an early age, but there wasn't any fruit until his collegiate years, in the early 90's. In 2001, he took a short term missions trip to Albania, then spent a year in South Africa in 2004, which led him to full time missions in Italy. He graduated from The Master's Seminary with his Mdiv in '09 and ThM in '13. He's always had a great love for the Italian people, culture and history, which is why he chose to minister there.
Currently, Brian is in a church of about 25 people where he disciples the men. They are at different levels of maturity, so he's tailoring a discipleship program for each of them, with the hopes that the Lord will raise some of them up to be leaders in the church. Along those lines, he's helping the Italian men learn how to teach the Bible. He's also involved in evangelizing and teaching the Italians to witness for Christ with the goal of planting another church in the future.
It is important for people to be involved because there are so few born again believers in Italy and so few resources in Italian to help the believers in their walk with Christ. When people pray and contribute towards the ministry, it all goes towards missionaries working with the Italians to help them mature in the faith so that eventually they will be able to effectively lead the church. We want the Italians to catch our vision of being a part of a church planting movement.
