Chris and Lydia are serving with the northern team in Togo, West Africa. The Coopers are passionate about meeting the physical needs of unreached families to engage them with their spiritual need for Christ.
Lydia will work as a nurse at the Hospital of Hope, which reaches people with the gospel and serves as a platform for discipleship, planting healthy churches, and reaching the unreached. Chris will focus on having spiritual conversations with those in the hospital and surrounding community, building relationships, sharing the gospel, and working alongside Togolese church leaders to grow healthy churches that live out their missional call.
The Hospital of Hope cares for patients from over 6 surrounding countries, including many unreached people groups. One of the primary patient populations is the Fulani tribe: the largest nomadic people group in the world. Nearly 100% of that population practices Islam and has never heard the truth of the gospel.
