Christopher & Lydia Cooper

Togo

Chris and Lydia are passionate about making the name of Jesus known in northern Togo by meeting people's physical needs in order to engage them with their spiritual need for Christ.

As a nurse, Lydia will provide compassionate care to families pointing them to the Great Physician while working at the Hospital of Hope. The Hospital of Hope reaches people with the gospel and serves as a platform for discipleship, planting healthy churches, and reaching unreached people groups. Chris will help with sharpening and encouraging the hospital chaplains, assisting missionaries in sharing stories of God's work, and hosting short-term teams.

The Hospital of Hope cares for patients from over 6 surrounding countries, including many unreached people groups. One of the primary patient populations is the Fulani tribe: the largest nomadic people group in the world. Nearly 100% of that population practices Islam and has never heard the truth of the gospel.
