We are so humbled and honored to work alongside a ministry like Live Global- a ministry passionate about the Great Commission through strategic partnerships with national leaders and churches. In early 2023, the Lord began to do a mighty work in our little family. I spent twelve years in corporate America as I earned two masters degrees in theology and philosophy while my wife, Jo, homeschooled our boys.

As a family, we would listen to countless biographies of missionaries and their courageous stories of profound trust and dependence on God. These stories burrowed deep within our souls and we couldn’t help but to see story after story, the assurance and provision of our precious Savior. But in March of 2023, we took a trip that would change our lives. We traveled to Italy and were immediately overwhelmed with a feeling of homesickness. The Lord began to impress upon us all that that Italy and Western Europe was our home, despite our disbelief that we could be called to do this work. However, a growing burden for Western Europe began to grow with vigor.

Western Europe is accumulatively less than 2% evangelical Christian. The post-Christian milieu has grown exponentially distant and hostile from theistic truths and the gospel. Atheistic materialism is so deeply rooted as the prevailing worldview of Western Europe, that most Europeans are callous and apathetic to the presentation of the gospel. The mention of Jesus and the existence of God is viewed as archaic and unnecessary mythology, explained away by evolution and centuries of ideological opposition. National Leaders and European Christians are hungry to provide a thoughtful response to this opposition, and provide the necessary resources to clearly present the gospel in and through their communities.

In the European context, to effectively communicate and disciple believers in their communities, a clear communication and defense of the gospel is pivotal. Our passion is to work alongside national leaders and churches to strategically equip them to better engage with their cultures; to clearly communicate and defend the truth of God’s existence, the authority of scripture and the sufficiency of Jesus’ work on the cross is an integral part of evangelism and discipleship in Western Europe.
