Drs. Stephen and Jessica Morse come from a long heritage of missions on both sides of their family. They are family doctors who love caring for hurting and sick people, and treating people with compassionate care in the name of Jesus. They have a big heart for discipleship and hospitality and love teaching students and pointing them to Christ.
They will be working with an international team of doctors at Shell Hospital in Ecuador. The hospital has a long standing presence of ministry in the community, and sits in a unique location for medical and spiritual outreach into nearby indigenous communities (sometimes by boat!). The Morses are already fluent in Spanish, and have previously spent time in this region. Their heart is to see Christ exalted through medical training, Bible studies, discipleship, and hands-on patient care. They love hospitality and pouring into others’ lives at their kitchen table.
In addition to doctoring, the Morses are working at their other full time job- raising three fun and wonderful boys and a sweet little girl! Stephen enjoys learning about small business ventures, playing piano, and doing projects to help others. Jessica loves being in the garden, teaching in the classroom, and discussing science and theology with the boys.
