Our Calling

Our calling to Lisbon is centered on three things: evangelism, discipleship, and support. We want to share the gospel with those who need Christ, invest in believers as they grow and make disciples, and come alongside missionaries and local churches already doing faithful gospel work.

Lisbon Training Center

Through the Lisbon Training Center, we’ll help provide a space that churches can use as a shared resource. It's a place where outreach events are hosted, leaders are trained, believers are equipped, and ministries are strengthened. We love that it creates an opportunity for churches to come together, support one another, and have a greater impact in their communities.

Our Story

Our journey has uniquely prepared us for this. Nick spent 20 years in the Army leading and investing in people from all walks of life, while Elaina cared for our family, built community wherever we lived, and learned to support people through constant change.

When Nick retired, we put down roots in Iowa, and he began working for a Christian nonprofit. After two decades in the military, this season placed him alongside believers who were passionate about Christ, ministry, and serving others. God used those relationships, our local church, and opportunities to serve to grow our hearts for ministry and missions.

What we thought was simply life after the Army became a bridge to something entirely new. God was preparing our family to take what He had taught us through years of leadership, service, and building relationships and use it for the sake of the gospel in Lisbon.
