Empowering the Global Church Through Technology
In the majority world, the church is growing at an incredible rate, yet 85% of pastors have received little to no formal theological training. In many regions, there is only one trained pastor for every 450,000 people. To ensure these leaders can shepherd their congregations toward sustainable maturity and multiply the church for generations to come, we must provide a path to deeper training.
The Mission: Scalable Theological Education
As the Vice President of Information and Learning Technologies with Horizon Education Network, I am partnering with ABWE to deliver scalable online theological education. We provide the digital infrastructure—virtual classrooms, student information systems, and online theological libraries—that brings biblically sound doctrine directly into the heart language and context of the local church.
How This Work Equips the Global Church:
- Scalability: Moving from training dozens to developing thousands of leaders.
- Accessibility: Providing world-class resources in the local heart language.
- Sustainability: Building systems that allow global seminaries to thrive long-term.
- Multiplication: Equipping local leaders to reach their own communities for Christ.
Your Partnership
While it costs approximately $5,000 to launch a new digital program for a partner seminary, the partnership on this page directly supports the work and expenses associated with this mission through ABWE. Your monthly or one-time gift provides the specialized leadership and technical expertise required to lead these global initiatives and ensure these technological tools effectively "equip the saints for the work of ministry."
God has spent 30 years preparing the path for this role—weaving together experience in Christian higher education and supporting enterprise technologies. Your support ensures that technology is never a barrier to the Gospel, but a catalyst for the Great Commission.
Thank you for standing with the ABWE family as we work together to strengthen the global church.
