Persecution against religious minorities and the prosecution of Christian leaders is on the rise across South Asia. Open Door’s World Watch List has declared that the country with the highest level of persecution violence in the world is in this region. Many churches have been forced to close, and missionaries have left for fear of torture, prosecution, and lack of support.
Despite these challenges, God has opened the door for the gospel to spread among the least reached people groups of South Asia. Since 2017, P and R have made multiple trips into the region, training over 400 evangelists and church leaders. Together, they are engaged in numerous outreach programs.
