Joel Lippert, a chiropractor, began using chiropractic as an outreach in the church, treating physical pain and spiritual problems.
He cried out to God, frustrated at the struggles he and his wife faced in their marriage and with their inability to have children. He asked God to bring helpful people into his life, and within two weeks, ABWE missionary Randy Richner and his family moved in across the street.Through Randy’s witness and discipleship, Joel and his wife turned to Christ. Joel now partners with the ABWE Southern Brazil team in a church plant in Dois Irmãos, Brazil, using his profession as a chiropractor to build relationships in the community, integrating physical and spiritual care to share the hope of Christ.
ABWE missionaries Rob and Lin Wachter and Joel and Megan Richner teach courses in English as a Second Language and host game nights and youth events. Another ministry offers free chiropractic care every Monday. This too resulted from the work of discipleship.
Gifts to the Global Gospel Fund help empower ABWE missionaries across the globe, including this team in Brazil, to minister to the lost both physically and spiritually. The fund does this by providing workers with vital resources, training, and logistical support to empower them to focus on their primary task: making disciples among all the nations—disciples like Joel.
