Bangladesh Flood Relief Fund: Support Families in Crisis

In August 2024, devastating floods swept through southeastern Bangladesh, impacting thousands of lives. Heavy rainfall, combined with the sudden release of water from upstream dams, submerged communities across 11 districts, including Feni, Cumilla, Chattogram, and Noakhali. Thousands of families—many from marginalized and impoverished communities—are now left without homes, food, or access to clean water.

While many relief organizations are focusing their efforts on the hardest-hit areas like Feni, our partners are working closely with a local church serving a lesser-known community approximately 35-40 kilometers southwest of Feni. This church has identified over 330 families in dire need of assistance, and we are responding by providing critical aid to these families as they begin their recovery.

We are partnering with local churches and organizations, including the Bangladesh Association of Baptist Churches, to provide urgent relief to those most affected. Our immediate response focuses on delivering essential supplies, such as:

Food packs and clean water
Rehydration saline packets
Cooking gas
Hygiene supplies and basic medical care

The families affected include Christian, Hindu, Muslim, and Buddhist households, all living in extreme difficulty as they struggle to rebuild their lives in the wake of the disaster. By contributing to this fund, you are directly helping these 330 families and counting, as we expect the need to grow as more areas are surveyed.

How Your Donation Will Help:

$50 can provide food and water for a family for one week.
$100 can support a family with essential hygiene supplies, cooking fuel, and clean drinking water for two weeks.
$250 can help a family recover by providing food, water, and basic medical care for a month.

Our goal is to raise $22,500 to ensure that all families receive the critical aid they need. Should additional funds be raised, we will expand our relief efforts to other impacted areas. Every dollar makes a difference as we show the love of Christ in action, bringing hope to these communities during their time of need.
