David and Penny were church planters on the field for 25 years—16 in Ukraine and 9 in Bulgaria. They returned home in January 2023 to care for Penny's aging parents. David officially retired in June of 2023 but still hopes to make trips back to the field, including Ukraine.

Penny is working part-time with Member Care, namely with MK Education. Penny is helping the director, Dr. Cheryl Winget, grow this department to be able to better meet the needs of parents who are trying to educate their children on the field.

Along with this work, Penny is heavily involved with the work of a sister group that is dedicated to helping global workers with the educational needs of their children. This work takes Penny to conferences in up to four locations each year to help families meet particular needs face to face.

Giving financially goes toward their salary and funding trips to the field.
