Strategically using medicine in Togo West Africa to accomplish healthy church planting and growth, Liza Kessling is reaching out to the physically and spiritually hurting as well as discipling believers.
Liza is a family physician desiring to use medicine as a means of furthering the kingdom of God.
Caring for the patient’s body, soul, and mind is the goal in medical care. This includes incorporating evangelistic and discipleship material in daily rounds or follow up visits. But the work does not stop at the hospital! Actively discipling Togolese women and training up teachers for children’s programs is a goal of Liza’s. She hopes to impact the unreached by equipping the women in the church and teaching the children from a young age.
Many of the patients delay coming to hospital or clinic because they cannot afford the care they need, which leads to even larger bills as the illnesses are more advanced. Funds will go towards both helping the hurting at the hospital and also for training and discipleship.
To follow along with how God is working in Togo, partners can sign up for her newsletters on https://missionlivingliza.mailchimpsites.com. They can join her in prayer for the salvation and growth of patients and their families as well as growth in those being discipling. Pray also for the mobile clinics to continue to open doors for the gospel throughout the villages.
