Stephen and Kaytlin Brock

Japan

Stephen and Kaytlin joyfully point to the transforming power of the gospel of Jesus Christ as they seek to share his grace and mercy with the Japanese people while coming alongside missionaries and local church leaders in need of support and care in Japan and abroad as part of ABWE's global Member Care team.

Every Tribe, Nation and Tongue

The Brocks are passionate about the continued growth and development of the Japanese church, and are active cheerleaders of Japanese believers engaging the gospel through their unique cultural perspective for the benefit of the global bride of Christ. It is their joy to share the love of Jesus with their Japanese neighbors and to use their own experience living between the US and Japan to serve Japanese returnees struggling with re-entry stress.

Empathy and Care

Stress, burnout and ministry pressure can threaten the mental, emotional, spiritual and physical health of missionaries and pastors. Those in ministry often don't receive the same degree of care as other members of the church, and can be tempted to present themselves as though they've got it all together. For missionaries, cross-cultural stress, conflict, isolation and loneliness can be a chronic concern. Stephen and Kaytlin are passionate about moving forward in God's mercy and grace from their own story of struggle to support missionaries and local pastors in Japan and virtually around the world. Through Christian clinical counseling, coaching and other avenues, they will look to provide these servants of the gospel with the same compassion and care they give to others.

Partnering With Us

Your support as a partner in ministry with the Brocks as they help make Christ known in Japan, is also support of the missionaries and church leaders they come alongside. As more gospel workers feel freer and more equipped to rely on others in the body of Christ to care for their soul needs, the healthier the church will grow as a result.

Please pray for those delivering the gospel in Japan, and around the world, to practice good soul care and seek help early and often. None of us are immune to stress, struggles and sin even though we might feel like we are supposed to be.
