Raena Rogers is currently pursuing her Film and Media Arts degree at Taylor University and is obeying God's calling for her to pursue this internship in Nicaragua this summer. She grew up in the Dominican Republic as a missionary kid and a third culture kid. Through this experience, God challenged her to find a love and a heart for the world and a passion in telling the stories of his children. Raena has worked with two non-profits on the island and has been a media intern with Manna Global Missions.
Raena is passionate about storytelling and telling redemptive stories of how God is moving in the lives of many, whether they may be from multiple cultures, tongues, or ethnicities. She is eager to tell stories about the missionaries, non-profits, and projects that are located in Nicaragua through ABWE's Storytellers Abroad. She loves finding creative ways to tell a story through videography and photography and seeing God's work in her creative process.
It is important for others to get involved in her internship opportunity as she has felt explicitly called by the Lord to go to Nicaragua and to grow in the gift that he has given her as a storyteller. She is blessed to be able to go and share the gospel and to allow herself to be equipped by God's calling for her.
You can get involved in her Storyteller's Abroad journey through giving financially, praying over financial provisions, connections, and over what the Lord has for her in Nicaragua and how she may bless his kingdom there. You can also follow her instagram page for updates.
