Jono and Debi have a passion for mobilizing and equipping local churches everywhere to carry out the Great Commission given to them by Christ: disciple-making within their congregations and in their local communities. They believe that God gave pastors, teachers, and church leaders to equip the saints for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12), and implicit in that is the command and expectation that laypeople would be about the work of ministry that Jesus gave to all the church (Matthew 28:18-20).
Jono mobilizes the local church to take the gospel to those who are on the margins of society, including prisons, homeless shelters, nursing homes, and other institutions.
Jono's vision is a robust, enduring, and effective local outreach ministry in every church:
- Robust: each church is involved in multiple outreach ministries, more than any one person can do
- Enduring: these outreach ministries are not dependent on just 1 or 2 people in the church
- Effective: the gospel is being proclaimed at every opportunity
Debi equips women to know the Bible so that they can effectively pass it on to the next generation.
Debi's vision is women in churches around the world equipped to teach the Bible to the next generation. This describes her passion to see women in every church trained in studying the Bible accurately and trained in teaching it to other women, fulfilling the Titus 2 mandate. She also desires to train missionary women heading overseas to teach women the Bible so that they have the necessary tools to disciple the women with whom they will be working in other countries.
