In 2021, Ashley heard God's call to the mission field and echoed Isaiah's response, "Here am I; send me." She began to prepare for women's ministry as she waited for His leading to a particular location. While in seminary, she became interested in serving in Japan after learning that this people group is largely unreached. After visiting the country in August 2024, she began praying that she would be able to return to Japan as a full-time missionary.
Ashley's desire is to glorify the name of Jesus among the unreached and culturally religious people of Japan through reaching out to women with the hope of the gospel. Her prayer is that the church in Japan would be strengthened as she works to patiently build relationships with Japanese unbelievers, disciple believers, and encourage the church to further His kingdom.
Most Japanese would consider themselves to be nonreligious, yet the cultural norm is to care for their ancestors' shrines, or go to a Buddhist temple. As the second largest unreached people group, less than 1% of Japanese have accepted Christ. Many have never met a Christian, or even recognize the name of Jesus. Through your prayers and financial support, you will take on an important role in building relationships to open doors to sharing the gospel with the Japanese.
