From churches providing refugee care in Central Europe, to schools training up new leaders in the Balkans; Middle Eastern congregations persevering through frequent air raids, to deep relationship building among people raised in communist countries, Joel and Debbie Dicks provide leadership and support to global workers serving in these and other ministries in five countries in the Central Europe and the Mediterranean region.

Missionaries need wisdom and encouragement from godly, experienced leaders who have faced similar challenges. In his role as regional director for ABWE, Joel's job is to provide that leadership to the missionaries he oversees. Debbie actively assists him in that ministry, as well as teaching English as an outreach of the local Hungarian church, being involved in women's ministry, and building relationships with the many Hungarian women she hosts in her home.
