She grew up in South America as an MK. In Bible college/seminary, God laid Bible translation on her heart, leading to her joining ABWE to serve with translation. She serves in South Asia, where she learned the national language, then worked on a minority language needing NT translation. After furlough, she transitioned to assistant treasurer, then treasurer. She serves as field treasurer (also part of field admin team), and as chair of cultural research (translation) team, seeking to encourage and assist.

As treasurer, she enables colleagues to work in the ministry areas where God has gifted and called them to serve. By ensuring funds are where needed (local bank, etc.) it assists the smooth running of the many ministries and outreaches in South Asia. Treasurer is a key support role, dealing with accounting, finances, and budgets.

Translation work is critical, because the Scriptures in heart language are invaluable for sharing the gospel and growth of believers. Literacy and use of Scriptures are also key.
