Lauri grew up as an ABWE MK in the Philippines. Brian is a PK from rural western Michigan. God led them together from these corners of the world and called them both to global missions. They served in church planting and theological education in Portugal for nearly two decades before God redirected them to Horizon Education Network. They have two sons who are married and have given them five beautiful grandchildren. They count it a tremendous privilege to serve Christ's beautiful global Bride.

To help meet the global need for trained pastors and ministry leaders, Horizon Education Network forges educational partnerships with Bible colleges and seminaries internationally. Horizon provides tools and training for effective blended and online education. Brian leads a team that coordinates these partnerships, trains faculty, and facilitates implementation. Lauri formats and maintains Horizon's online undergraduate and professional development courses in a growing number of languages.
