God has used the ministry of ABWE in Togo to plant more than 150 churches over the last 50 years. This has put ABWE in a unique position as we continue to work in partnership with these churches to reach Togolese with the gospel and to see the next generation grow in their faith and become passionate followers of Christ. One of the challenges facing these churches is that many of them lack trained leadership especially in the area of children’s ministry. There is an incredible need for trained Sunday school teachers who can develop their own Bible lessons from the scriptures alone and teach memory verses in a way that kids can apply God’s word to their daily lives as they live out the gospel. The need for more teacher trainers is crucial to equipping teachers in every region of Togo to have an effective ministry to the next generation.

In God’s provision, Child Evangelism Fellowship is offering a three month training program in Togo in 2025. The goal of this program is to produce children’s ministry teacher trainers. This is an incredible opportunity for the ABWE churches. The training will cost approximately $2,000 USD per teacher and will cover the costs of their training, materials, accommodations, and food for three months.

The Togo South Team is raising $35,000 in order to send more than a dozen teachers from throughout Togo to this program. This will allow the team to strategically place a group of trainers in each region which will greatly benefit the churches and children’s ministry. Any extra funds will be used to organize training seminars in the churches.
