South Asia Ministry Center: Gospel Advance in South Asia
What God Has Done—and What Comes Next
In one of the most unreached cities on earth, God has opened a door for ABWE partners to share the gospel. Through the generosity of God’s people, the team has now secured the property for a new ministry center—a permanent home for outreach and discipleship in a city of 35 million souls.
The spiritual need remains overwhelming. Out of the 566 people groups that call this city home, an astounding 519 remain unreached by the gospel. With less than 3% of the population identifying as Christians and the vast majority practicing Hinduism, this city represents one of the most significant mission fields in the world.
By God’s grace, the purchase phase has been essentially completed. The property is now in hand and ready to be transformed into a hub for training, evangelism, and compassionate outreach.
From Child Laborer to Church Planter
The fruit of this ministry is found in changed lives—like Krishna’s.*
As a child laborer living in the slums of South Asia, Krishna dreamed of escaping poverty. Through the faithful ministry of ABWE partners, he received an education, discovered the hope of the gospel, and surrendered his life to Christ. Today, Krishna is a pastor planting churches and training others to reach the unreached.
Krishna’s story is just one glimpse of what God can do when the gospel takes root. With a permanent ministry center, stories like his will multiply for generations to come.
What This Ministry Center Will Do
- Help the team plant 30 new churches by 2030
- Train indigenous leaders to disciple their communities
- Expand slum ministry, reaching marginalized families in desperate need
- Mobilize as many as 1.4 million university students, equipping them to carry the gospel to the nations
- Offer a counseling ministry to equip university students and help women in crisis
Another door that this center could open is the launch of a women’s and children’s clinic, potentially functioning as a pregnancy care ministry. In this region where untold numbers of women seek abortions each year and the sanctity of life is routinely disregarded, such a ministry would provide both compassionate medical care and the hope of the gospel. By meeting physical needs, the center could stand as a witness to the value of every human life made in God’s image, while also creating lasting credibility and staying power for gospel ministry in the community.
Phase 2: Renovating for Ministry
With the property purchase essentially complete, the team is now preparing to enter Phase 2—renovations to make the facility fully functional for training, outreach, and community programs. This phase will include classroom and worship space improvements, security upgrades, and outfitting for ministry use.
Your continued partnership will help transform this property into a vibrant center of gospel ministry that reaches the unreached and strengthens the local church in South Asia.
