Japan Bible Academy (JBA) is a ministry that works closely with like-minded local churches to help them mature in Christ and provide their leadership, as well as lay people, with the education they need to serve in their churches biblically. JBA is accomplishing this through its Bible program and translation work. JBA is based in Tokyo and primarily holds online classes, with churches and individuals in Kagoshima, Hokkaido, Miyagi, and Akita having completed JBA’s program.
In 2019, recognizing the need for Japanese churches that prioritize expository preaching and biblical shepherding, JBA assisted with the planting of a church (Megumi Bible Church, or MBC) that would model its teachings in the heart of Tokyo.
