Eddie and Jan Rayos

Eddie Rayos hailed from the highlands of Malaybalay Bukidnon, Mindanao Philippines, where one of the first Fundamental Baptist Churches (Bethel Baptist Church) was planted by ABWE. God called and enabled him into pastoral service for more than 30 years.

Currently, he serves as President of the Philippine Association of Baptists for World Evangelism. He spearheads the missions organizations' strategic goals of

  • Establishing mission prayer warriors and financial supporters among churches, organizations and individuals,
  • Recruiting 20 more missionaries for the next 20 years,
  • Providing missionary care to those in the field and in furlough,
  • Conducting missions training, conferences and mentoring, and;
  • Connecting and creating intentional relationships and partnerships with like-minded groups for the expansion of missions work especially in Asia.

Their Ministry

Eddie & wife, Jan Rayos spent most of their ministry life in Tacloban City. He pastored New Life Baptist Church, founded and planted by ABWE missionaries, Dr. William & Marilyn Stevenson, Pastor Jim & Allene Latzko and Pastor Steve & Kris Holman --- planting more than thirty churches in the islands and provinces of Leyte & Samar as well as sent and supported career and bi-vocational missionaries in Visayas and abroad, specifically Thailand, Vietnam, Nepal & Bangladesh. He was also used by God in starting a pre-school Christian education in known as Alpha Omega Learning Center.

In January 2013, the Philippine Association of Baptists for World Evangelism called and appointed him as President representing missionaries in Thailand, Cambodia and recently, Papua New Guinea, to like-faith churches, organizations and individuals --- the vision of reaching Asia and the rest of the world with the gospel of Christ until every lost soul hears and believes.

Alongside traveling around the Philippines to promote global missions, Eddie mentors young pastors who are potential missionaries in the Lord's harvest. Jan, on one hand, mostly stays in Tacloban, ministering to students, parents, teachers and administrative staff in a Christian International School being a registered nurse by profession. They have 3 grown up children who are all serving as full-time workers --- Adriel with wife, Daystar as associate for missions, Janna as Bible Teacher and Music Director and Joanne as Administrative Assistant based at the PABWE Headquarters while serving the Lord with her husband, Christopher Aninon and son, Cy Jantzen, as missionaries in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila.
